HOPE COTTAGE HIRES NEW EXECUTIVE STAFF
August 11, 2009 (Dallas, TX) Hope Cottage recently hired Sonyia Hartwell, MSSW as the new Executive Director and Leslie Clay as the new Director of Community Development. Ms. Hartwell has more than 20 years experience in non-profits, serving most recently as the Executive Director for Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT). She was the last Executive Director of Women’s Haven of Tarrant County before it was merged with Safe Haven and was Executive Director at the New Beginning Center in Garland. Ms. Hartwell received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and her undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University.
Ms. Clay has worked for Dallas area non profits for the past ten years. She most recently served as the Director of Community Development for Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT) and has experience in both program and development work with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of North Texas and the National Kidney Foundation Serving North Texas. Ms. Clay received a BA from Stephens College and her MLA from Southern Methodist University.
Hope Cottage is the oldest non sectarian adoption agency in Dallas. Since 1918, Hope Cottage has been nurturing and building families through education, counseling and adoption services.
